We’re hiring (and yes, we’re a bit excited)

We’ve had a big few months here at Holdens. New clients have partnered with us, exciting briefs keep arriving, and our to-do list has started to feel ambitious (in the best way). There’s only one sensible response to that: find more brilliant people to join us.

With that in mind, we’re hiring for two roles in our Manchester studio.

Social & Content Manager

Do you plan the content calendar in the morning, film a Reel on your phone after lunch and write a blog that ranks by home time? Then read on. This role mixes strategy, content creation and writing, and you’ll switch between them most days. You’ll work across Holdens and a line-up of clients in healthcare, beauty, lifestyle, retail and e-commerce. That means time on site filming social-first content for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and often being the face on camera. You’ll write copy that people actually want to read, dig into the numbers to see what’s landing, and bring ideas to the table rather than just filling briefs. You’ll report to our Strategy Director. You’ll need 3+ years’ experience, a sixth sense for what works on social, no fear of the camera, and a real eye for detail.

Brand & Motion Designer

Some designers make brands look good. We want one who makes them move too. You might be a brand designer who’s handy in After Effects, or a motion designer with a solid feel for brand. We’re not fussy about which comes first, as long as you switch between static and moving image without losing craft or consistency. You’ll take ideas from first scribble to final render. That means building brand identities, guidelines and AI-ready design systems, then bringing them to life across campaigns, social, digital products and immersive experiences. You’ll report to our Creative Director and work closely with our Strategy, Client Experience and Digital teams. You’ll need 3+ years’ agency experience and a portfolio that shows both brand thinking and motion work you’re proud of.

Why Holdens?

We’re fiercely independent and not keen on playing it safe. Your work won’t vanish into a big agency machine. It’ll be seen, discussed and trusted. We’re curious, collaborative and slightly allergic to “that’ll do”. Everything we make has one job: helping brands make impact. If that gets you going, we’d love to meet you.
