It’s not every day our work crosses the Atlantic and is seen by a captive audience of up-and-coming filmmakers and serious studio investors. But a couple of weeks ago, it did.

BOYHOUSE, a New York independent film studio redefining what a studio can be, launched last month at Cafe Studio NYC, and we’re proud to say the brand and website was made right here in Manchester by us.

BOYHOUSE is the kind of client Holdens loves. A genuinely bold idea – an independent studio that owns its IP, backs original work and does things entirely on its own terms.

22-year-old founder Jack Johnstone came to us needing a brand that matched the ambition of what he was building. Something that felt like it belonged in the world of independent film without looking like every other studio around.

The launch event on 16th May brought together filmmakers, collaborators and investors for a private screening of the studio trailer and film teasers – a first look at what BOYHOUSE is building and where it’s going. By the sounds of it, the room took notice.

Jack had this to say afterwards: “Thank you so much for the incredible work! It’s going so very well at the moment and everyone loves the branding. I’ve had people approaching me asking who did the design and animation.”

We’ll take that.

The brand, the website and the animation are all live now at https://boyhouse.studio – well worth a look.

Keep your eyes peeled for the full case study coming soon.
