9 Cut is the latest offering from the chicken connoisseurs behind Yard & Coop, a Northern Quarter culinary institution. It’s an exciting new pop-up dining concept that will go on the road, firstly pitching its wares at Dog Bowl where they’ll serve up mouthwatering fried chicken alongside turkeys. They came to us looking for a suite of brand assets and collateral ready to launch in two weeks. No sweat.

Within days of meeting we’d immersed ourselves in the new brand and been sold on the vision – to take the finest cuts of fried chicken to a casual dining audience in a bolder and braver way than they could ever dream of doing with Yard & Coop. For our creative team, it was a dream of a brief.
Through workshops and moodboards, we soon got to the heart of where they’d like the new brand to go, and how far we could take it. We landed on a visual concept that everybody loved, and got to work on creating a whole suite of print and social media assets to launch the brand at its first home inside Dog Bowl.

The combination of simple fried chicken menu options paired with some of the hottest sauce collabs around has gone down a treat, with most diners lavishing it with five-star reviews.
As a creative agency with its roots in the Northern Quarter (and passionate foodies to boot), this project definitely has a special place in our hearts.
