With more than 800 years of history under its belt, it’s safe to say Cartmel Priory has a story or few to tell. It was our job to make them heard.

Challenge

A cultural hotspot and a popular tourist attraction, Cartmel Priory attracts thousands of visitors through its doors each year to discover its stunning architecture and rich history. The Priory called on us to develop its brand identity and website, helping bring the church into the 21st century and preserve the building for future generations.

Approach

Inspired by the history of the church and the building itself, we took symbols and shapes from its architecture to create a dynamic identity, brought to life across branding, digital and photography. A new website continues this story, creating meaningful experiences both off and online.

Outcome

The brand and website launched earlier this year, and the response has been universally positive. Website traffic and sessions have increased, and, even better, overall visits to the Priory have risen.
