They needed a campaign to capture the imagination of adults and children alike.

Weird, wacky and world-shaping, the Science and Industry Museum (or the Museum of Science and Industry as it was previously called) sits at the heart of the world’s first industrial city and houses a world of discovery, guaranteeing a fun day out for families in Manchester. But with summer just around the corner, they needed a campaign to capture the imagination of adults and children alike and communicate the wonders of science and industry.

We created a campaign that put the Museum back into the hands of its audience, inviting people to come inside and explore

We got our cogs whirring and created a campaign that put the Museum back into the hands of its audience, inviting people to come inside and explore. Using a larger-than-life visual style to engage with kids, and a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour to appeal to the parents, ‘The Power of Discovery’ campaign helped to deliver a real impact across outdoor, digital and social, invoking a new-found fascination with science and industry.

What started as a summer campaign turned into a permanent look and feel for all the Museum’s family communications.

Brand awareness increased significantly (I mean, it was hard to miss those billboards!), and even better, footfall to the Museum saw a sharp lift not only with families but with overall visitors as well.
