Opening its doors in 1997, Oklahoma was one of the very first stores to call Manchester’s Northern Quarter its home. Today, it’s the biggest independent gift shop in Manchester.

Challenge

Oklahoma approached us to help with their store re-design and take a fresh look at their brand identity, social media and website too. As huge fans of this Manchester institution, it’s a challenge we simply couldn’t refuse.

Approach

At the heart of this brand are one-of-a-kind gifts and unique homeware. So, it was only natural to retain this quirky personality in everything we produced. We created a brand identity that’s instantly recognisable with vibrant colour and playful design, and stripped back, eclectic interiors that put the spotlight on their products. A social campaign made it stand out in the crowd and build a buzz around the city.

Outcome

Spread out over 2000 sq ft of floor space and packed to the rafters with vibrant, colourful gifts, it’s safe to say the launch kicked off with a bang with positive reception and reviews from customers and press. Christmas sales rocketed, doubling their usual sales in the winter months.
